Relationship to Sherlock

Our scans are powered by the open-source Sherlock Project. We run probes server-side and present results in the browser—no local install required.

Privacy

We do not require an account. Search queries are processed to perform the scan; we do not store your search history for marketing or profiling.

Responsible use

Use this tool only for lawful, ethical purposes—such as checking your own usernames or research you are authorized to conduct. Do not use it to harass, stalk, or violate others' privacy or platform terms.

Frequently asked questions

Is FindHerSocial affiliated with every platform listed?

No. We only send HTTP requests to public profile URLs to infer whether a username appears taken, similar to visiting the link in a browser. We are not endorsed by those services.

How accurate are "Found" results?

A "Found" result means the probe received a response consistent with an existing profile. False positives can still occur (e.g. reserved pages). Always open the link and verify manually.

Do you store what I search?

We do not store search queries for user profiles or resale. See our privacy section above for how requests are handled.
